Stepping Stones

Did you know that a third of the worlds poor live in India ?

 

In India poverty begins in the villages due to lack of employment and education. Every year millions of families  migrate to the city looking for work. Sadly, most find themselves adding to the over populated slums or face life surviving the harsh streets. With this in mind, all our efforts are focused on helping the poor in rural West Bengal, these include:

 

Homes for orphaned and abandoned children.

Stepping Stones is providing shelter, education, medical care, and a loving, safe environment for 30 boys and is soon to provide similar homes for girls in the near future.

 Education to children and young people.

Stepping Stones is providing college bursaries to students effected by poverty and supports village schools with finances and human resources.

 

Health.

Stepping Stones is supporting the sick and those at risk of sickness by providing health clinics, blood camps, safe water wells, education and advice.

 

Natural disaster aid.

Stepping Stones provides emergency aid, shelter and human resources to flood and cyclone victims.

 

Churches.

Stepping Stones provides regular teaching and worship to Christian believers as well as a variety of outreach programs across West Bengal.

 

 Beliefs.

Stepping Stones Ministries is a interdenominational Christian organisation adhering to the values and beliefs as stated by the Elim Pentecostal Church.
